2026
Every new season brings its share of fashion trends, but Fall 2026 feels particularly exciting because there isn't just one way to be fashionable.
This season is all about self-expression. We're seeing powerful ’80s silhouettes, bold colour, glamorous ’20s influences, clean ’90s minimalism, head-turning maximalism and accessories that bring personality to even the simplest outfit. The runways are embracing contrast, mixing strong silhouettes with softer details and encouraging us to rethink how we style the clothes we already own.
And while trends are fun to follow, the most important part is knowing how to make them work for you.
Here are 7 of the biggest Fall 2026 trends, along with our Style Coaching tips for wearing them in a way that complements your colouring, proportions and personality.
1. 80’s Power Dressing
The ’80s are still trending with a powerful presence this fall.
Think strong shoulders, structured jackets, bold tailoring, defined silhouettes and the kind of confident dressing that made power suits an icon of the decade. Designers are continuing to play with exaggerated shoulders and voluminous tailoring, giving the trend a modern update rather than simply recreating the decade.
You don’t have to go full ’80s to embrace the trend. A structured blazer, a strong shoulder or a pair of pleated trousers can instantly bring that energy into your wardrobe.
PRO TIP: If you already have naturally broad shoulders, you don’t need to add more width with a highly structured ’80s jacket. Instead, embrace the trend through wide-leg trousers with pleats. You’ll still get the ’80s feel while creating more balance through your proportions.
2. A Brighter Fall
Fall doesn’t have to mean dark neutrals.
This season is bringing plenty of saturated colour, from electric blue and royal purple to bright red, turquoise and unexpected peachy tones. Designers are using colour through monochromatic looks, colour blocking and statement accessories, making it one of the easiest ways to make an outfit feel instantly more current.
Whether you want to commit to a head-to-toe colour moment or simply add a bright accent, there’s plenty of room to experiment.
PRO TIP: Bright colours tend to work particularly well on people who naturally have higher contrast in their colouring. But if your colouring is softer, you don’t have to skip the trend. Instead, introduce those vivid shades through your accessories. A bright bag, shoe or belt can give you that pop of colour without overpowering your natural colouring.
3. Revisiting the 20’s
The glamour of the 1920s is making a major comeback this fall.
Art Deco influences are showing up through intricate embellishment, fringe, velvet, geometric details, glamorous eveningwear and the return of the drop waist. Designers are drawing inspiration from the elegance and opulence of the era while interpreting it through modern silhouettes.
It’s a beautiful trend for anyone who loves feminine details and a little drama. Think embellished dresses, decorative evening bags, velvet pieces and delicate details that make an outfit feel special.
PRO TIP: We love the intricate and feminine details of this era, but be mindful of shape and proportion. Many ’20s-inspired silhouettes create a more rectangular shape, which we often try to avoid when styling certain body proportions. On the other hand, the drop waist can be particularly helpful for shorter torsos, as moving the waistline lower can visually create more length through the upper body.
4. The timeless appeal of monochrome
One colour, head to toe.
Monochromatic dressing continues to be a beautiful way to create a polished, sophisticated outfit. Whether you choose black, cream, chocolate brown, burgundy or one of this season’s brighter shades, keeping your outfit within one colour family creates visual cohesion.
And monochrome doesn’t have to mean wearing the exact same shade from head to toe. Playing with different tones and textures within the same colour family can make the look much more interesting.
PRO TIP: We absolutely love monochrome for the elegance and long, uninterrupted line it creates. That continuous line can help petite women appear taller, while also creating a visually streamlined effect on fuller bodies. Try combining different shades or textures of the same colour to keep the outfit sophisticated without making it feel flat.
5. maximalism
If minimalism isn’t your thing, Fall 2026 has good news for you.
Maximalism is giving fashion lovers permission to be bold. Think dramatic combinations of colour, prints, textures, accessories and statement pieces. This season’s emphasis on expressive styling means that creativity and personality can take centre stage.
Instead of asking whether everything “matches,” maximalist dressing is about creating a look that feels intentional, expressive and unmistakably yours.
PRO TIP: Finally, creatives can really bring out the best in themselves through maximalism. It gives you the chance to express yourself loudly, boldly and unapologetically. If you’ve always had that side of you but have been scared to put it out there, now is the time to let it all out.
Your outfit doesn’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea. It just needs to feel like you.
6. the simplicity of the 90’s
And on the other side of the spectrum, we have ’90s minimalism.
Clean lines, simple silhouettes, neutral colours and effortless styling are making their way back into the spotlight. Think sleek trousers, simple dresses, leggings and understated combinations that don’t rely on excessive embellishment. The aesthetic has been particularly associated with the pared-back style of the decade and continues to influence Fall 2026 dressing.
After seasons of boldness and statement dressing, this trend offers a refreshing alternative: less noise, more simplicity.
PRO TIP: If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by extreme silhouettes, busy embellishments and bold, bright colours, don’t worry. There’s a trend that works for you too. The simplicity of ’90s minimalism can feel much more natural for people with Natural and Classic style personalities, allowing them to feel at home in clean, uncomplicated outfits.
Think quality basics, simple silhouettes and pieces that let your natural style personality speak for itself.
7. accessories with personalities
Accessories are getting their moment this fall.
From oversized jewellery and decorative details to statement shoes, bags and belts, accessories are being used to transform otherwise simple outfits. Vogue’s Fall 2026 coverage has particularly highlighted the importance of unexpected accessories and styling as a way to make familiar wardrobe pieces feel new again.
And this is one trend you can try without buying an entirely new wardrobe.
PRO TIP: An outfit is never truly complete without the right accessories. Even the simplest outfit can become Vogue-worthy when paired with the right bag, shoes, jewellery or belt. Choose your accessories intentionally and never be afraid to use them as a way to express your true personality through what you wear.
Sometimes, the smallest detail says the most about your style.
Which fall 2026 mood is yours?
What makes the season interesting is the contrast between these different directions. You can embrace maximalism one day and 90s minimalism the next. Personal style doesn’t need to belong to a single aesthetic.
Fall 2026 offers different decades, colours, silhouettes and textures to experiment with, but trends are only a source of inspiration.
Choose the elements that speak to you, then adapt them to your proportions, colouring and lifestyle. A trend can inspire what you wear, but your personal style is what makes it your own.
