A Shopaholic?
In today’s consumer-driven society, shopping has become more than just a necessity—it’s a way of life, a form of entertainment, and even a means of coping with stress.
When does this harmless activity cross the line into something more problematic? Are you a shopaholic? A shopaholic, or someone with compulsive buying disorder, feels an uncontrollable urge to shop, often resulting in negative consequences like financial difficulties and emotional distress. This question isn't just about how often you hit the mall or browse online stores; it's about understanding the motivations behind your purchases and recognizing the signs of compulsive buying behavior. In this blog , we'll provide a short quiz to help you determine if your shopping habits are healthy or if they might be veering into addictive territory. Grab a pen and paper and after considering each question, please write "YES" or "NO".
- Do you regularly spend more time and/or money purchasing and shopping than you intended?
